Phillip Island Pirate Night - Cubs

On the 19th to the 20th the cubs had a Pirate camp at Phillip Island. When we arrived we unpacked our stuff, blew up our various mats and lilos (nobody brought a pump so we had to use our own lungs which was exhausting) and had a look around. After that we had dinner and went to sleep. The next day Akela put us with our captains there was Captain Bluebeard, Captain Fletcher Christian and Captain Pugwash. Then we had a walk around the hall.  After lunch the crews practiced their skits (little plays). Then we went to the penguin parade and the nobbies. After dinner we had a camp fire and performed our skits. It started raining so we went inside to go to sleep. The next day after breakfast me, 4 other cubs and leaders went on a 2 hour hike to cape Woolamai. We went through the old quarry were we had some rolls for lunch. After that we walked along the sand which was really soft to a really big sand dune were we spent about half an hour to a hour playing and climbing up the sand dune. Then we went back to the hall were we packed up our stuff and went home. It was a really fun camp and I would do it again.

Mum’s Horse Racing Night - Cubs

On the 3rd of November the cubs had a horse racing night. The mum’s were invited to come and bring a fancy hat like what they would wear to the races. We played some games where we, (the cubs) were jockeys and the mums were horses (don’t worry the mums didn’t give piggybacks!!!).Then we voted who we think had the best hat. Overall it was a very fun night.
